JetStar Flight Perth Singapore Return Posted: Tue March 17, 2009 10:19 AM UTC
With cheap flights on offer I am thinking of having a week in Singapore, however as I am 6 foot 5 inches tall fell there may be a problem with seating and leg room. Where seating is in rows of 2 seats I can usually manage, but have never flown Jetstar.
Appreciate any information.

Thanks, Have tried this on other airlines , but found seats taken on recent flights, think this is due to internet seat allocation as often people in these seats are not very tall.

I've flown with jetstar to Asia before and they normally have the configuration of 2/3/2 seats. Normally with Jetstar at time of booking you can select your seat, last time i checked you did not have to pay extra to do this.

We are going Perth via Jetstar in APril, and as Meggy88 had mentioned, you do not have to pay extra to select seats. So book early, really early!!
I've been on Jetstar to other destination, I'm 5 feet 7 and it's just alright for me. For you, it might be uncomfortable. But for just a 4hours flight, it should be fine.

there are some seats near the emergency exits that have more leg room...if i'm not wrong, you can pay slightly more to get those seats.

We have just arrived back from a holiday to singapore and the seat configuration was 3-3. When booking you can pay a little bit extra to choose your seats but most time the emergency exits were already taken. That and the front seats. You could be extra lucky if your flight is a midnight flight as you may be able to score all three seats. (Hey all four in our party got to rack out on the way there - its a possibility)

Hi, Booked flights this week at the $159 offer, paid $60 for each exit seat to secure extra leg room, additional cost $240 for 2 persons x returned flights.
Thank you for your assistance,
Mike

Hi Heather
Fly out 15th May return 25th May. Will break our stay in Singapore and go to Malacca or similar for 2 nights in the middle. Can you suggest other option to Malacca. Have been to KL, also visited Malacca for half day in 2000.

I thought about going over to Pulau Bintan for a couple of days, i know they say malacca in world heritage listed etc but i quite fancied taking the ferry over and staying in indonesia for a couple of days, it might offer you something quite different if you haven't done before.

Oh and mike, there is some vt pages-tips when looking just type
Bintan into the search area, for some reason it doesn't accept There is some interesting stuff posted there plus 3 members, but from memory i don't think they too active on VT.
I think i deleted the message prior to the above posting, but the website is for the bintan-singapore ferries.
Cheers Heather
