We're heading to Cancun soon, for the first time. I'm a diver and would like to do some diving on this trip. I'm wiling to travel to Cozumel (CZM). But heard that I need to go to Playa del Carmen (PDC) first, because the ferries are there. Any advice from divers that's been to that area? Dive operators, maybe spend one night in PDC or CZM. TIA.

Cozumel is the place for divers. There is ADO bus leaves every hour from Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen. The bus station is a minute walk from the ferry. Once you arrive CZM, you will find lots of dive operators.

I don't dive but I have been on snorkeling trips from PDC and I assume they also run diving trips from PDC, I think one of the snorkeling trips we did was mostly with divers and that operation is run out of PDC. The two aren't very far apart (30-45 minutes) so you could probably get a hotel in either place and still do a diving trip.

Hi! Last time I went to Cancun I took dolphins trek, its a underwater breathing equipment that alows you to walk underwater with dolphins, and interact with them. Mabye this would like you :)
