Shalom, Shalom...yes it is the holidays and most often the campgrounds are slightly crowded, but that is a part of the culture here in Israel where the "personal space" is much smaller than in the west. It often happens that you strike up friendships with your fellow campers instead of being isolated.
The camp sites on the east side of the lake are usually the best, with the Ginnosar camp site on the northwest being the best I am told, with actual grass to pitch your tent on and set spaces for the tents. The other campgrounds tend to be a bit more haphazard, you sort of set your tent wherever you like. You can see some of the sites on my pages.
B&B's can be found at almost all the Kibbutz settlements around the lake but I think only Ein Gev on the southeast corner has bungalows near the water. This is the link to their site:
