Best way to travel from Rio De Janeiro to Sao Paulo?

I am flying into Rio De Janeiro but my hotel is located in Sao Paulo what is the best way to get there? Is there a train? Boat? I can't stand the idea of going in a bus. Can anyone give me some advise?

Fly. GOL, TAM or Varig would be your three main choices.

if you're not going to fly, then you might have to suck it up and take a bus. brazil has some of the best buses in the world.

Buses leave from Terminal Rodoviaria Novo Rio (www.novorio.com.br). I recommend you to take Auto Viação 1001 (http://www.autoviacao1001.com.br/en/). The buses are good as well as the service.

There's another expensive option...
From Rio you may go to Cabo Frio/RJ by plane. Cabo Frio is very near to Buzios and you may reach it by van, bus, taxi...
There is no dock to cruiser in Buzios. It casts anchor offshore. You may go from Buzios to the cruiser by yacht, motor boat...
Since you have arrived into cruiser you may go to Santos.
Santos is around 70Km from Sao Paulo and best transportation is bus.. You will miss around 1 hour on this bus trip.
Some hints: * Gol and TOTAL are brazilians airways that serves Rio and Cabo Frio
Lift off in Rio is made in Santos Dumont airport

You will need a good deal to achieve all journey. I hope your portuguese/spanish is good enough to be suceed. To get a van, taxi from Cabo Frio to Buzios will call for your language in dealing, as well as your transportation from Buzio's off-shore to cruiser.
Fortunately from Santos deck to São Paulo city is an easy task.

But it was an interesting suggested routing to get from Rio to her hotel in Sao Paulo :)))) Especially the suggested multi day cruise ::))) to Santos.

i have done it and the best way already was given, take the bus. Besides good transportation ,you see more, and thats always good ::)
