Dear All,

I will be arriving Tehran on the 20th of march and I just found out that is the start of the Iranian new year. Is this a good thing?

I will be staying with some family friends.

I wanted to go skiing and my main question is skiing attire/clothing available for rent? just like skis? I am coming from dubai and don't want to lug to much stuff around.

Which is the best place to go skiing? can i stay overnight at these ski resorts?

Will there be anyone who would be willing to meet up in Tehran? I was supposed to go with my family but they backed out and now I am alone. Don't think it should be a problem though.

I know alcohol is not permitted in Iran, so that means I cannot buy something from duty free dubai and take it into iran right? that would be stupid.

Alcohol is illegal that means its illegal, taking alcohol to Tehran is like taking Cocaine to DBX.

You can go to Dizin and it has a small hotel where you can stay, you can also stay at Gachsar hotel it’s couple of miles away it’s pretty nice and relaxing, hope there will be enough snow! Yesterday Tehran was the warmest city in Iran, even warmer than Bandarabbas. I do not live in Iran but I read it in the news.
You should have your own pants for skiing but I'm pretty sure you can rent the rest.

I live in Yazd one of the old cities of Iran.
I love tourists and sometimes I invite them over to our home.
For Ski you can go to South-North of iran Like Tabriz City or Tehran.
I'd be glad to hear from you soon. if you come to iran let me know. that woud be nice.
