Hi.

I am planning moving to Joburg for a year on business. Would request assistance/tips on areas to stay for a safe, decent and convenient[ restaurants/malls]. What is the rentals I should be looking at for 1 bedroom apartments??

Thanks.

A lot would depend on where you going to be working, and if you will be travelling to outside areas etc. If you can provide a bit more info, I will gladly try and assist

Regards

Mike

Thanks Michael for your assistance. My business primarily is exports from Industrial area. However, there would be local guys assisting me on that. My involvement would be basically co-ord with bank and check out with shipping lines, which I assume could be done on phone as well.

So in fact a safe and convenient as for shopping/restaurants accommodation would be my take.

Would really appreciate your suggestions.

Cheers!!

To give you some idea of the difficulty in giving you advice . . . . . .

The greater Johannesburg city area is about 60km in diameter. The most desirable area for restaurants/shopping is on the northern fringes. The major industrial area is at the south east fringes. Getting from one end to the other in the rush hour tends toward a 2 hour commute.

Thanks Gerald.

I guess, it would be the northern parts of the city that i'd be looking at. I wont really be traveling on a daily basis to the industrial area.

Would appreciate your suggestions..

For your search, you can look around the "Sandton" area.
