Lake District National Park Travel Forum

Hi Guys,

I am planning to take a short break in Lake District over Easter. There are total 4 adults and and 3 kids. Is there any nice Self Catering which could be available only for 3 nights. I have checked a few but not much availability.

I checked a few Youth hostels since they provide good budget. But unfortunately availability is very limited. Any advise/tips.

Accommodation may be in demand because of both Easter and the school holidays with Landlords hoping for a full week letting.But you should be able to find something.

also try haven holidays and i think Bourne leisure who both have self catering holiday parks around and about ( South Lakeland Holiday park is good - or was when ww were last there= it is a drive away from the windermere area though)

if your trying to keep costs down one nice site in Ulverston is the Ulverston Walkers Hostel its an independent youth hostal on the edge of the town
