yeogwan or innbak to recommend? Posted: Wed March 4, 2009 10:14 AM UTC
Going with a group of my schoolmates to Korea for the first time during end of April to early May (26apr-3may'09).
Hope to get some recommendation in some reasonably priced stay, esp those homestay that is within the affordable range of 60,000won (US$20-40).
We are going free and easy, will be good to get some tips on where the must gos are in Korea.
Thanks in advance! :)

We regard yeogwan as a Motel but recently it's hard to find yeogwan, so you can find many hotels and motelsprice ranged from USD15~40 instead of yeogwan.
( you can see english signs )
for Minback , it means when common homes let the people stay for tourist usually in rural place for sightseeing.
I have a memory of staying as a Minback in Seorak Mt village 20years ago.
So I think motel is more common thesedays.
Or please refer tips for guesthouse, it will give you more easy and free.

Easy to find the yeogwan, but most travelers do not stay accommodation.

Hi rockyrc,
In addition to jckim's list, I would introduce a website.
http://www.gohomestay.com/kor/
You can meet common homes for your stay.
Also you can find Minbak ( not innbak :-) ) when you are in rural sightseeingsight also.

well I have no idea for this place, but it is kind of Co-op resirence hotel which was shown from a decade, maybe it have a kitchen, so you can use it at your will.
I think price is reasonable, and you can enjoy nightlife near the univwersities not so far from your hotel.
