Where to stay? Posted: Mon March 2, 2009 08:01 PM UTC
Going to panama city. Will be there only 3 fully days. Is it better to stay in panama city itself....or near one of the beaches which can be 1.5 hours from the city. My travel companion wants to stay in farallon.....where as I think panama city itself is more appropriate for a 3 day stay. Regardless of where we stay we want to spend 1 day seeing panama city, and we want to spend the rest of our time seeing nature/mountains, and the panama canal. Any ideas?

hi
I can help you finding a place to stay. If you want to visit Panama city is better to stay in a hotel in the city. We have a lot of hotels at any price. If you wanto have a tour to the beach and the mountains. You can do it in one day because is only at 1.5 hour from the city
if you want me to help you with hotel acommodations and tours
write me back

Staying in Farallon is a waste of time, there is nothing to do there except the beach and you will find it deserted unless it is a weekend, Enjoy the city.
One day in Panama city and the canal, another day could be a trip to the atlantic and another to El Valle which is 1.5 hrs drive,
Enjoy your stay,

Go to El Valle it is only 1.5 hrs by bus from Panama City, get the bus at Teminal Nacional at Albrook. There are all sorts of places to stay in El Valle from Hostels to Luxury Hotels. In Panama City stay near Via Espana in Cangrejo, the Hotel Marbella is reasonable (about $35 US per night) and close to all the night life and things to do there. The canal you can take a tour or a cab to Miraflores Locks, there are observation decks, a restaurant, a museum and gift shop there.
