I have heard that you can rent apartments in BA for cheap ($600 for an entire month) but am not sure if my schedule will allow for me to spend an entire month there. Therefore I am wondering what other accommodation options would be my best bet if I were to spend 2-3 weeks there. Can I find similar deals for that length of a stay? Obviously I don't want to pay for a hotel!

Also, if I do decide to stay for a month, any tips on how to arrange securing an apartment would be useful as well.

Also, I will be reading up on BA in general on this site, but if any one has any recommendations on the must-do things there, as well as some excellent day-trips, winery tours, etc., it would be most appreciated!

Have a look at these agenices for apartments in BA for your stay. They are www.bytargentina.com, www.argentinahomes.com. They are both reputable companies and the pricing is included on the websites. Also, you can find apartments on Craigslist, but in most cases with Craigs you are dealing directly with the owner.
Have a look at www.welcomeargentina.com for a general overviews. At your local bookstore pick up a copy of TimeOut buenos Aires. this is an excellent overview guide for the city,neighborhoods,bars,restaurants,daytrips,etc.
Wineries are located in other areas of Argentina(Mendoza,Northwest ARg,Patagonia). However, there are many wine tasting bars in the city.
