You might be better off getting them in the US, if you can find what you want here, it probably will cost about the same for designer frames. In Panama City, at Albrook Mall you can go to Chevalier or Perez Optical, they both are good. My wife thinks they are at the duty free area in Colon, if they have any optical places. In Colon itself, it is dangerous to roam around. Especially if you are a gringa and don't speak Spanish well.
I've found that in Panama, that to get a good deal you have to wait for a design to age, if you get the latest, it will be as expensive as anywhere else. Now, if the style you want is out of date, and you can't find it anywhere at home, then you might save some serious money.
