Hi there!

I'm browsing Internet to compare taxi costs.

How much is the cost for "normal" trip with taxi (not airport transfer). I have read that the price in airport transfers is significantly higher.

Some pages say that normally the km-rate should be 0.40-0.50 €. Is this true?

Has anyone ever traveled with taxi from Costa Adeje to El Teide (cable car)? How much was it?

above give you the direct contact to all taxi operators in the island. It has a per km rate,then its how many persons, and if any luggage ;plus the destinantion.

I am a descendant as my grandparents are from there, but when i go, family takes me around or rent a car. good luck with your search.

I know I'm not answering your question, but wanted to say that you might consider renting a car instead. We were just there a couple weeks ago and car rentals are pretty cheap. Also, you will probably want to stop a few times and take pictures, go for a short walk, or whatever - simply taking a taxi non-stop directly to the cable car wouldn't be as good. The cable car was nice, although when we were there there was alot of sand in the air so the views weren't as good as they normally are apparently. But in any case stopping along the way during our drive up was the highlight for us.

Of course driving can be stressful, so you would only want to do that option if you drive standard, and are an experienced driver.

I think that you better rent a car for this trip. This will be the sheaped way to go to el teide because it is very easy to find and so yoiu can go when you want on you're self but to go up whit the cable car it is € 28 each person.
