- Sky Tower
- Viaduct Harbour
- a harbour cruise (to Waiheke Island or Rangitoto or Tiritiri Matangi, or just across the harbour to North Shore/Devonport)
- Kelly Tarlton's
- one of the volcanic cones with great views (my favourite is Mt. Eden, followed by One Tree Hill)
- the Domain with Auckland Museum
- Parnell (next to the Museum)

As you have a car you could drive to the Waitakere Ranges and the wild west coast beaches, like Piha and Bethells. It is a different world.

Ditto, boat across to Devonport and walk up Mount Eden - or drive if you're lazy :)

Thank you so much for all your tips. They were great! We spent a lovely afternoon in Parnell, after visiting the Museum in Auckland. Also, we took the road you suggested from Queenstown to Christchurch and stopped at the Observatory. What a view! We had never seen a lake that colour before! Awsome! Thank you!!
