What is the weather like in Mid March? Planning to travel light, but let me know if it is going to be cold / rainy. Thanks!

We are well know for our weather. However, that doesn't mean that it is hot here all the time. It only means that our winters and summers are mild. Not too cold nor too hot.

March is usually still cooler than warm and rain is not unheard of. I'd suggest layering as a solution. The day can start out as cold, warm up to a decent T-shirt wearing temperature and then cool off again as the sun goes down.

Depending upon how you feel the "cold," be sure to have a sweater or a warm jacket if you plan to spend time near the bay or the ocean as the breeze can make it even chillier along the beach.
