Bosnia and Herzegovina Train fare from Sarajevo to Belgrade
Posted: Fri February 20, 2009 02:42 AM UTC
Hi All!

I am looking at the train departing at 21:10 from Sarajevo and arrives at 06:21 at Belgrade. www.bahn.de even does not show fare for this route.

Has anyone taken a train?

When traveling around W Balkans or what once was Yugoslavia, I sugest bus. Trains are fine, bit not everything is conected directly with train rute. Or simply some rutes are disconnected when the war in Yugoslavia started in the early 1990s.
There is bus from Srbsko Sarajevo-Grbavica wich directly goes to Belgrade bus station.
chek this website www.bus.co.yu
Also with bus you have more choices regarding timetables as there are few buses departing to Belgrade.

DB website can not show the price for Sarajevo-Beograde connection for a number of reasons :) so it's far not the source to look for the info there...
But being seriously, 21:20-6:21 it is not a train or even a car, it is a connection with change - you start in Sarajevo with Sarajevo-Zagreb night train and afterwards change in Doboj for Banja Luka-Beograde.
But if you still willing to use this variant app. price for the whole trip would be not really expensive since there are special fares apply for Banja Luka-Beograde connection (Doboj-Beograde suppose to be less than 30 euro return)
You can as well make change in Croatia (Croatia-Serbia connection as well has good discounted fare called Citystar)
