I'm a Manchester United fan and I'm already going to miss the first leg of the Inter V Man Utd match because I'll be in Cuiaba doing a Pantanal tour and I have not seen european football matches (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A) anywhere in Sao Paulo or Parity so far...I doubt Rio will be much better.

What about Salvador? Will they show these EXTREMELY important matches for football fans ANYWHERE?

some brazilian stations show european games and champions league.
the brazilians are more keen on the spanish league though, but tht e italian league is probaply the second most popular in brazil, so there is a chance that you can catch the game.
it will most likely be shown on one of the smaller channels though.

Uefa Champions League is shown in Brazil by ESPN.
ESPN, SportTV use television cable transmitting in Brazil, while the main brazilian television signal is not in cable (digital signal).
You may find some nice bar to watch Uefa games with TV cable signals, or, use your notebook and search ESPN site. There are a lot of TV cable working in Brazil.

Sometimes the internet cafe opposite the beach in Porto da Barra shows foreign games on their patio TV, even "real American" football. :-)
