Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Seoul 6 hours in Seoul
Posted: Mon February 16, 2009 08:32 PM UTC
Hi guys,
could you tell me if it makes sense to visit the city, if we are landing at 2pm and departing at 8pm? What's the quickest way to go downtown and how long does it take? It will be on Sunday in August, should we count in a traffic jam or is it usually ok?
Thanks a lot, cheers, Ivana and Martin

First of all a Sunday in August will have some of the worst traffic ever and it will take you quite some time to get to Seoul from the Incheon airport. The quickest way for you to get "downtown" (there is no true downtown and Seoul is HUGE) will be by taxi...about 45 minutes, but that is also the most expensive. A bus would be easier, but may take a touch longer maybe a and hour..maybe longer depending on where in Seoul you intend to go to. You can also take the light rail to Gimpo airport and then switch to the subway, but that will take a long time with all the stops. I suggest you just take one of the really short 2 or 3 hour stop over tours around Incheon because you are really going to be pressed for time. You really only have about 4 hours effectively and 2 of that would be eaten up just getting from and back to the airport.
