WE ARE A FAMILY GROUP AGES 12-70, ARRIVING IN JULY OR AUGUST. WE NORMALLY ENJOY HIKING, SOME LIGHT RAFTING, SEEING WATERFALLS AND LAKES, AND ENJOY SWIMMING IN A WARM LAKE IF AVAILABLE. WE LIKE TO AVOID THE TOURIST CROWDS. WE WERE THINKING OF LOCATING IN THE NORTH EAST, SO WE COULD HIKE IN DORMITOR AND THE OTHER NATIONAL PARKS. DO YOU THINK WE COULD SPEND A HAPPY AND INTERESTING 2 WEEKS IN THIS AREA OR WILL WE GET BORED ?!!! ANY IDEAS FOR A 2-WEEKS ITINERARY ? FINALLY, WOULD IT BE BETTER TO FLY TO DUBROVNIK OR BELGRADE, AND WHERE IS IT BEST TO LOCATE ?

two weeks only in Durmitor, might be a bit too much - and it would really be a pity not to see the rest of this small country.

WHICH IS RECOMMENDED LOCATION TO FIND A RENTAL HOUSE FOR DURTIMOR WHERE WE CAN DRIVE TO OTHER PLACES TO VISIT FOR A DAY TRIP ?

You should go rafting on the Tara river. It's absolutely beautiful. There are a few things to do besides rafting like a jeep tour, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and mountaineering. The staff is very friendly. I don't think there will be many tourists because it's tucked away in the mountains and you need a 4wd vehicle to get down there. It's worth it though.
