Nice Apartment in Nice

Hello,

Does anyone by any chance know a reliable apartment in Nice, close to everything?

To rent - or preferably for a home exchange?

I haven't stayed in this apartment, but I have kept it bookmarked for quite a while for my next visit to Nice.

It looks very nice.

I can recommend this apartment
http://www.homelidays.com/EN-Holidays-Rental/110_Search/SearchList.asp?MODEAFFICHAGE=NONE&TYPE=&NBPERSONNES=&ADR_PAYS=&ADR_LOCALISATION=&noregion=Not+available&IDX_LOCALISATION=0&DESTINATION=&JOURDEBUT=&MOISANNEEDEBUT=&JOURFIN=&MOISANNEEFIN=&PK=97828&IMAGE1=

It's in Old Nice, excellent security, spacious and light and airy, all facilities provided, plus basic foodstuffs. The owners are very careful and will require a deposit in advance, plus a security deposit. The apartment is close to shops and transport, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 2 minutes to the old town and all the alleys and shops. Sheets and towels are a chargeable extra, but you are better to bring or buy your own.

Steve 51,

Did you stay in this apartment? Which way do you take to the beach?

"Sheets and towels are a chargeable extra" - how much extra and why does one better buy one's own? Are those provided in such questionable condition?

sorry about the late reply - I have been on holiday !Sheets and towels (for 2 persons for 1 week) were 40 euro and I figured I could buy them for less than that. As it turned out, I brought old items from home and ditched them at the end of the stay. The way to the beach was down thru the old town, or you could walk around the old town via Place Garibaldi. Bus station for the airport is also walking distance

Thanks Steve,

I used to travel with my own tea kettle – a small one. But bringing own bed linen is a bit too much even for me. Next thing will be to bring one’s own sea!

Thanks nonetheless! I’ll keep searching.

yep, 40 euro is easier to carry.....but by the time that converts to NZ pesos, it's the price of new items....I figure you could buy the requisite in Nice for less !

Oh!
As locals would say - chapeau!

I used to think that we old Soviets are thrifty, but it looks like Kiwis will easily beat us :)
