Surin Surin hotel info

Hi there,

I have a friend who is getting married at the Chedi in Surin in Feb 2010 and will be travelling out there with my wife and 2 children ( 7 years and 2 1/2 years ) from the UK.

firstly, Can anyone recommend any good places to stay that offer good value and are good for children.

Perhaps there are nearby towns that are in easy travelling distance that may also have some good hotels.

Perhaps a villa anywhere as there will be other people coming out from the UK as this may bring down costs.

Thank you...

Most of the foreign tourists to Surin stay at the Maneerote Hotel.

Don't stay at the Maneerote however, they have the cheek to charge foreigners more than twice the price of Thais 1,600 vs 600.

Stay instead at the Thong Tarin Hotel don't overcharge foreigners plus the rooms are better than at the Maneerote. See their website, impressive:

I always stay at Thong Tarin Hotel, not too expensice, room is fine, high building with a good view of Surin town. It's quite a big hotel in Surin.
