Hey guys,
i've finally saved enough to make my trip to Helsinki in the summer and i was wondering if there were any hidden gems to be found, other than the usual tourist attractions?
i wanna see as much as possible in my two weeks there and was hoping that there might be a kind soul on here that might be able to suggest some places?

You know, with your empty profile it is a bit difficult to give useful information without even knowing your age or interest. I could suggest for you 100 different things to do or places to see around but maybe you should look at Helsinki and Finland pages here first and ask more specific questions? Because I could have recommend you from 10 minutes by boat to Pihjalasaari to 10 hours by train to Kolari. In between there are another 98 gorgeous places to see.

i'm 19 years old and my main interests are music and photography but i posted on here because i want to get a good overview of the place rather than just hitting up the usual tourist spots!

anyway, i'll do as you suggested an check out some of the pages on here first but if anyone has a place they think really can't be missed then please let me know?

Ugly it is, but it really shows something about Helsinki that is not in every website.

What, is this your private site? I do not see anything really useful in this site, just another one like hundreds others with some photos, it is build in old fashion way and very limited in information.

When exactly are you going to visit Helsinki? Try http://www.bestofhelsinki.fi/2009/index.php?language=FI. It's a site by the helsinki tourist bureau but it still haves some things on it that regular guides may leave out.. (for example the best nordic oddity) You can vote for your favorite but you can also see the places that won the titles in question last year. I assume you've allready visited the www.visithelsinki.fi...
