Here's one of many links that will show you what an Australian power point looks like - http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=2633138f09a4f1f42eca7908c6aaee74 - we're 220 volts and the bottom pin on a power plug is "earth"

For a rice cooker, one of the largest cheaper stores around Australia is Kmart - here's the link for their on line range. Maybe cheaper in store. Not sure what you mean by a water boiler, but try electric kettles and from the last time I had to buy one after the old one died, it was around $20

Well you can buy small urns if you need more than a kettle...Plastic ones cheaper and there are stainless steel. The last time I saw them was in places like Mitre 10 hardware stores. You will find these stores in shopping centres or maybe on there own. Cost more than a kettle but The plastic ones not bad...would only guess at price.Maybe $100 for stainless steel.

Voltage is 240kw, for a water boiler or kettle i would allow minimum of $20 the reason being is that the cheaper dont have the little lid over the pourer hence you could end up boiling dead flies depending on circumstances and flies. I always spend the extra and get the lid.
You can get from kmart, big W a rice cooker/steamer from $29-95 upwards.

Mate, especially if you get to taste the little white eggs. Yummm the way they crawl down your throat, that wriggling sensation!
