How long is your stay? Would you want to catch train into city ? Or other transport to closer accommodation? Would a motel suit?

If you want a cheapie, then you could choose Formule 1 on Nudgee Road just near Airport Drive. A taxi to and from the airport would be your best option with this one. If you want something more elaborate, then maybe you could choose to take the Airtrain to Central Station in the city and stay at the Sofitel Grand Central which is right on top of Central Station and has access directly into the station. the Airtrains run from about 5.15am and there are several trains every hour directly to the International and Domestic Terminals. Another option would be to try one of several hotel/motels on Kingsford Smith Drive at Hamilton (www.wotif.com should give you some details.) From there it is a reasonably short cab ride to and from the airport.

Guess you have all you need in the above post now, which I agree with as well. As you will see from that post there is no accommodation in the grounds of Brisbane Airport , for hotels best to go in to Brisbane , and for closer to airport you need a motel.

One thing about the airtrain the traffic will not be a problem. If you are going by taxi be sure to leave in plenty of time depending on time of day

You cannot leave luggage at Brisbane Airport.

Let me be more specific...my son 20 will be traveling alone. he needs a room in between flights. Not the Sofitel, although I'm sure he'd love that, but not a dive either. Something easy. Thanks.

Well as Maryimelda suggested why not Formule 1

Hotel Formule 1 Brisbane Airport. 18 Navigator Place, (Cnr. Nudgee Road ) Hendra Brisbane QLD., Brisbane, Australia, 4011. Telephone: +61 (0) 7 38683457 ...
www.accorhotels.com.au/3512/detail/default.aspx - 51k - Cached -

Again it depends on how long between flights . If your son wants to stay in the city we give some other suggestions. At Formule1 he is likely to meet other young people.
