Victoria Falls Travel Forum

Hi there,

I'm planning on visiting Kruger National Park and then travelling to Victoria Falls (Zambian side).

Can anyone advise the best way to get there? So far all I have come up with is flying from Kruger back to Johannesburg and then flying from Johannesburg to Livingstone. I'd like to avoid the trip back to Johannesburg if possible. Looking at the South African Airways flights schedules it appears I'd have to stay overnight in Johannesburg.

Any advice on flights or alternative transport appreciated.

s far as I am aware, that is the only option. Another airline, Nationwide airlines, used to fly to Vic Falls, but they were liquidated some time ago.Your only other option is private Chater, and that is way to expensive.. If you need to overnight in Jhb, are are some great hotels right at the airport ( with or without Casinos)

Mike is right. The only international destination served by Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) is Moz. You would have to pay big money for them to get an air slot and landing in Zambia as a charter.

Sadly Nationwdide didn't last long after they had an engine drop off which of course was shocking to the passengers. I was in South Africa when the story came over the radio. A real shame.
