Chiang Mai Chang Mai _ dogs?
Posted: Sat January 31, 2009 07:18 PM UTC
I have been looking for accomodations in Chang Mai 2 adults 2 children

I have looked at the Holiday inn, and on the flipside the Castle hotel and the Parasol Inn which are closer to the main city than the Holiday Inn . . . all sound Ok but I have read a few comments on trip advisor about dogs barking at night.

Can anyone comment, on the hotels and on the apparent problem of the stray dogs night time symphony?

We stayed at the Chaing Mai Plaza Hotel, which is right near the night market, and the night food market is accross the road, and it has a tour agency next door which was great. The hotel is close enough to walk to the old city, and the hotel itself was great value for money..big rooms, and good service

To me the big thing is how far the hotels are from the night market, which is about the central point. Some hotels are nice, but you need to take a tuk tuk every time you go to town.

Regarding barking dogs...never ever heard one barking anywhere.

Regards

Mike

Well, if you get yourselves a decent room and not a rustic guesthouse room and ground level, then youll have no problem!
