south street seaport & battery park

I'll be in NY in the middle of February. What should I expect as far as outdoor vendors, etc.? I am wondering if I should leave these off the itinerary since it's the coldest part of the year.

are you talking about food vendors? The hardy vendors will be out there, because if they don't work, they don't eat...and neither do you!

Skip South Street Seaport. It is very touristy. Battery Park is more interesting, but will only have very basic vendors (cheap souvenirs, hotdogs, pretzels).
