Thanks a lot for the response on how to get to Santos from Guarulhos airport. I read somewhere that you can pick up this bus on terminal 1.

Where can you purchase the tickets or can you just pay the driver as you board. Additionally, does anyone have any experience on this bus service as to safety comfort?

Regarding the transfers from Sao Paolo to Santos, Royal Carribean refuses to provide and sell transfers unless your flight arrives the same day as the cruise departure. My husband and I arrive in Sao Paolo a day prior to the cruise so as to allow any flight delays so now we are looking for other ways to get to our cruise ship in Santos.

There is Expresso Brasileiro's bus selling tickets on Terminal 1.

In case of transfer not provided by Royal Caribean you may go to São Paulo City (bus)first and then the day after go to Santos (bus). The Bus Station to Santos is on Jabaquara subway station. There are a lot of buses serving both cities. Every 5 minutes departs a bus to Santos. At week ends the claim for buses is often great. If your portuguese/spanish is not good, you may ask to some hotel clerk/manager to buy for you a bus ticket to Santos.
There was a railroad connection serving both cities but today the trains are only for cargoes. Since 1999 there is no train passengers to Santos/Sao Paulo.
