New York City Spring Break in NYC
Posted: Tue January 27, 2009 08:58 PM UTC
My girl and I were planning on going to NYC over our spring break (Apr 3-10) and we were wondering if anyone had some good ideas as to hotels and keeping prices low?

Don't know your ages, or your plans, but rooms in NYC in general are expensive. You might try to look up some hostels - I know they have some very good ones - my 21 year old son stayed in one.

We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast June '07, Inn on 23rd Street, we enjoyed it very much. Photos on my NYC page.

You could check with Tripadvisor www.tripadvisor.com

Good Luck,
mike

hey now. A hostel sounds like a good idea for the young people. Take a look at nylofthostel.com. It's in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a very happening area. I have a piece on it on my homepage.

Hostels sound like a good idea cause they're cheaper, but would we have any real privacy?

Also, would it be cheaper to do a hotel in the boroughs outside of Manhattan?

While I have never stayed at a hostel, I would imagine that one would Not have any privacy; I think one flops on two-tiered bunk beds. That's why the hostel is so cheap! In Brooklyn, there's a chain hotel on 4th Ave and 84 St. The Brooklyn Marriott is not cheap at all, tho it's in downtown Brooklyn. You'll have to work TripAdvisor.com and other sites. There Is a Recession going on, so you might find a bargain. Since I live here in NYC, I don't use hotels. Sorry.
