You don't "have to" (as in feel obligated to) tip as they should be included in the total price you pay. IF you want to tip the maids, bartenders, waiters, I've seen people give them between 1 and 5 US, and in bills because they can't exchange coins.

Tips are normally included. If you feel like tipping, the amount is up to you. Some resorts do not allow extra tipping. Sandals fires employees that take tips, except for Personal Butlers.

No problems exchanging money at all! The courses are regulated by the Central Bank so you'll get the best deals by exchanging at any bank. I wouldn't recommend to exchange money at the airport or at the hotel because you'll get less DR pesos as opposed to going to a bank, so try to bring some DR currency to pay for the cab airport-hotel or if you want to buy a bottle of water or something.

Yep the tips are no obligation so feel free to give if u feel like they deserve it. and the DR peso its fine to change but its good if you get a person that change it for you in the black market they give more than the bank but its a lil dangerous to do it alone so check.

this information its going to be useful

US$ 1 = 35 RD Peso
thats the normal 1
but the bank its going to give you
US$ 1 = 34.35 or something like that.
