Mantra Circle on Cavill on surfer paradise Posted: Mon January 26, 2009 03:13 AM UTC
Hi,
I've got a chance to book the Mantra Circle on Cavill (also known as Circle on Cavill?)on surfers paradise for 3 days at a fantastic rate if I act fast within 2 days. I've read some reviews and seems like noise over weekend parties is a common complaint. However, is it very noisy with parties on a weekday? I'm looking at Wed - Fri night stay during Jun period. One more thing, the apartment on offer is on the 6th level.
I'm travelling with my family, 2 kids aged 7 and 4. Our plan is to go to the Dreamworld and Movieworld on each of the day. What do you suggest that we do on the last day?
Thank you all for any advise :)

You will be so tired from visiting the *Worlds* you won't hear a thing:)
I think during the week should be fine, but I can't help you on that as I haven't stayed in Surfers.
We often have a discussion here on which are the best worlds to take a look at and I vote for Movie World and Seaworld. My grand daughter loved seaworld, she did the swim/feed with the Dolphine experience and that was really great. You can spend all day at each world.
Seriously I wouldn't worry about doing to much on the last day, if you do two worlds with children of that age, all you will want to do is have a sleep in and just browse around the Surfers area and have a play on the beach on your last day.
Have a great but tiring time:)

I agree, the kids will be tired from two days at movieworld and dreamworld. Both parks have sections applicable to your kids ages. For the third day you could try taking the adventure duck tour ive included the website for you, that way you could see a bit more of surfers

We also did the infinity maze http://www.infinitygc.com.au/ for something different.
Cheers Heather

Being that it's in the middle of winter, and not in school holiday time, plus being on the 6th floor, you should be fine. As Anne mentioned, you will all be tired after huge days visiting the wally-worlds!
I would suggest that you visit either Seaworld, or the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary on the last day. Currumbin would be my pick, as that would be the cheaper option, and it's a lovely spot to wander around for a few hours, see the lorikeet feeding, bird shows etc.

Wow, thank you all for your fast replies and helpful suggestions. This forum is really friendly to people like me who needs some advice :)
Is there anyone that have lived at Mantra Circle on Cavill previously that can share some experiences? Cos some reviews said that it's not sound proof and that they could hear it as high up as 12th floor :(
Thank you all for reading the post and giving some advices :)

Hi. Ditto to everything Betty (betska) said! With children that age I would tend to do Movieworld and Seaworld....purely because Seaworld is close by and has a great dolphin show and I feel Dreamworld caters for the more teenage years. I would definately visit Currumbin Bird Sanctuary on your other day. Make sure you visit when bird feeding is on...either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. I have another suggestion as far as accommodation is concerned. Have a look at this site - www.pelicansands.com.au
This place has appartments with balconys overlooking the beach on one side and a small balcony on the other side overlooking Coolangatta airport. I'm sure the kids would love to view the planes taking off & coming into land....and the rooms are sound proof. Plus it is very close to the airport....trips to the theme parks can be arranged and there's a bus right at the door to take you to Currumbin Bird Sanctuary...about 3 minutes on the bus... & Surfers Paradise. You can take a short walk along the beach to Kirra where they have a Pizza Hut with all you can eat plus desert included in the price....so everything is close by. Also the prices are very reasonable.
Cheers, Ann :o)
