Machu Picchu Machu Picchu for a par of senior cissies

Hi. Going to Machu Picchu for a day on the Hiram Bingham Express. We will be there third week in Feb. and it seems we must expect rain. We are both over 65 and moderately fit for our age I suppose. We thought we would walk to Iti Punka for a view. So questions are... will this be possible weather permitting, and how bad is the rain we can expect. Thanks folks

Hello friend, you have to climb an average 5 hours to visit the citadel Machu Picchu and a pace that if I can go, but before visiting the city, though the schedule is very hot, almost Machupicchu jungle to those hot hours of the day 12:25 reaching your train and the sky is clear, but I think you should either take your time visiting the city with a guide is 2 hours it would then have time Inti Punko is the entrance to the Inka Trail very nice, I know quite Cusco is wonderful if you want something more information you can contact me as pleasant greetings and good trip.

I was there on last December and the first rains began in Cusco, when we arrived to Aguascalientes by train it rained a lot in the night, at morning we took the bus to Machu Pichu and it was very clowdy but no rain, at noon everything was sunny. I think in February will be raining more. You can go there, but take your poncho, and be carefull climbing to Inti Punktu, as the path is made of inca stones, when they get wet they are slippery.
Good luck.

Victor
