has anyone stayed at either ban tai or ban khai beaches, what are they like as in for just a few days while the full moon party is on then moving to a nicer beach. are they still nice enough to swim at and lay on the beach?

Sorry I cant answer your question , But was looking for answers as I to am going for The FMP on 10 Feb.
Is is ok to stay at Koh Sumai and go by boat only for FMP ?

lol yeah heaps of people do the boat trip over and ferrys and speed boats go all night back and forward. im wanting to not do this as im bad enough on a boat during the day as in freak out let alone in the darkness with a bit of booze in me...

Do the boats rock bad ?

im not sure about the boats i havent been there but they have small ferrys and then normal speed boats although i wouldnt recomend what my hubby has done and managed to talk the driver of a long tail to bring him and a group back at 5 in the morning. he said it was very choppy and they all got very wet. he did get the odd dirty look on the way from very scared females... was his plan to go by long tail.

Ban Tai Beach I stay at Hansa Resort it was perfect for relaxing away after the full moon party. They are in the middle of builing Nice food, Cheap drinks and staff who are willing to play your own music if you ask with a smile like theres.
