Kruger National Park Travelling to Kruger
Posted: Thu January 22, 2009 03:05 PM UTC
Is anyone going on safari who would be prepared to buy something for me? On honeymoon my son bought a washbasin plug - pewter with a lizard or gekko design. When I stayed with him it got lost and I fell guilty in case it was me. If anyone is going and could get one from a craft shop on Kruger I would be so pleased! Thanks for reading this. Nanny.

The different lodges and rest areas have shops. This sounds like a boutique item rather than some of the stuff the offical shops sell in the park. You said Honeymoon, so I am thinking one of the luxury lodges which a couple have a gift shop. If you can get names, we can get email addresses....

Spoke to my sister-in-law today - she sells stuff to Kruger gift shops. She knows those plugs and said she has seen them everywhere, even in the UK!

Google "gecko basin plug"
