Santiago B&B recommendation in Santiago in March
Posted: Wed January 21, 2009 04:20 PM UTC
Hola
My wife and I are arriving in Santiago March 9 looking for a nice , clean, modestly priced B&B for 6 days or other similar accommodation convenient to public transportation. Prices seem to vary quite drastically and reviews have been mixed. Any help or recommendation from a local or someone who has recently stayed there would be appreciated.
Thanks
R

We stayed in 'Marilu’s Bed and Breakfast' and I really can recommend this place. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood and close to public trabsportation. See for more info:

Urania's may be nice but is poorly placed. You need to take a 10-15 minute bus ride to the start of the metro system. There are lots of places closer in to town. If you gave a price range it would be easier to help. B&Bs are not common in Santiago and you find more of a large price range for hotels or hostels.

Thank you all for taking time to respond. I prefer a B&B to a small hotel as it provides the opportunity to interact with the owner and fellow guests. Perhaps in Santiago this opportunity exists in smaller hotels? I would expect a price range of 50-75 US$.

you have several to choose here, and I always stay at Alto Nivel ave 11 se Septiembre, very nice central location but a bit higher than your needs. Look at the other ones ,this is a reliable site.
