French Polynesia OWB

I am looking for places to send our son and his bride for their honeymoon, in October. They would like an over water bungalow somewhere and my first thought was French Polynesia. However, I found out they are not locked into any place specific just would like at nice tropical location with OWB.

Whew...can I send my next vacation bill your way? LOL.. My favorite island is Moorea, primarily for the people. BUT, Bora Bora typically gets the thumbs up by most travel Magazines. I found it nice, but very expensive. The over water bungalows can run upwads of a grand a day. Perhaps prices have come down a bit with the global financial issues, so it would be best to check a few.

I've not stayed in one as I sail the islands, but I've visited a couple to photograph the area. I can only imagine getting up in the moring and watching the fish below in the crystal clear water.

The first one that came to mind for me was Sipadan Water Village (www.sipadanwatervillage.com)

Second one that came to mind was the Maldives.

SipadanWaterVillage is good for divers (I wish I were at Mabul now) so if your son and his bride are not divers, it will be boring.
I've been in FP where I visited nine islands, the two islands I liked more have not OWB (Fakarawa and Maupiti), the most beatiful lagoon is Bora-Bora, Moorea it's the one I would never go back for staying there, at least a whole day with scooter from Tahiti by ferry or by plane, 7 minutes flights but exciting!!
October is not a really a good month for FP or Maldives, anyway, in FP a very beatiful (and exclusive) place could be Le Taha'a Island Resort & SPA and at Maldives Island there is plenty of choise.
