Boise Boise nightlife?

Me and a few buddies are planning a X-Country road trip that will bring us through Boise hopefully. Any suggestions on nightlife for a bunch of college kids from New York?

Hopefully this answer doesn't come too late. There are actually two answers for ya - if you are under 21, sorry, bud, you're outta luck in Boise. If you are above 21, you will have a great time in Boise! Go downtown. There are a lot of bars there...for a group of college age guys, you'll definitely want to check out:
- Main Street Bistro - hang out bar
- Tom Grainey's/JD Toad's - live music & dancing
- China Blue - dance club
- Old Chicago - pizza & beer joint
- The Cactus Bar - classic dive
- The Big Easy - live music & dance club

There are plenty of hotels downtown or near downtown. Try the Best Western Safari Motor Inn - it's right above another cool bar/poolhall called Mulligans. Take a cab or walk - don't drink and drive! Have fun!

Not too late at all. In fact, we'll be leaving in a week from today. Thanks so much for the info. We are over 21 and very excited....

Great sense of humor, Cliff.

I've lived in Boise for 7 years and I find it difficult. I'm an aging hippy and a mother of a 10 year old boy. It's hard for us to find like-minded individuals in this most Republican of states. So, your question about daylife really resonates.

Do you really live in Luxembourg?
