My partner and I have booked an experience with the above company (walking with lions etc). I was just wondering if anyone knows the location of Safari Adventures? I have tried to find it on the internet but all it says is Royal Road, Cascavelle???? I have no idea where this is

We are staying at Le Cannonier hotel nr Grand Baie (May 2009) and I would like to know roughly how far away Safari Adeventures is in relation to the hotel and also the best/cheapest way to get to there from the hotel??

Safari adventures is at casela and it is in the west of the island. Your hotel is in the North of the island. The best way of course to visit Mauritius (and cheapest) would be to rent a car and roam around yourself. But you can also hire taxi - from hotels or individual taxis. I would suggest if your hire taxis, please do it via Hotel, but it will cost more.

I did this experience while I was there, very fun and got some good pics as shown on my tip.

I had a private driver (thankfully, my sense of direction is awful!) but everything on the island is fairly close, only a few hours to get from top to bottom. There is the option of hiring a taxi for the day if you don't fancy driving, or getting a company like Mauritours to take you there (there should be a Mauritours rep in the hotel if I remember correctly). It was great to meet Julie there the owner, she really has a passion for her big cats, they are like family.
