New Orleans Travel Forum

I will be in New Orleans on Feb 20th,21st,&22nd and again on March 1st, 2nd, &3rd.What type of weather should I expect, so I don't overpack for all seasons!!! I am Southern Californis woman, and our seasons don't change much. Thanks!

not sure how formal/professionally you need to be dressed, but short sleeves during the day and long sleeves at night, maybe a light sweater for the night time (if you are very cold natured, then maybe a light jacket).

This is a good time of year to go to New Orleans as it won't be hot & muggy as it will in the summertime. Normal temps in late February, early March are mid-60s to high-40s. It usually begins to warm up in March to 70s & 50s.

Thanks for the info! My husband and I will be there the 20th, and get on a cruise ship the 22nd. Cruise for a week, come back the 1st, leave New Orleans late afternoon the 3rd. So-very informal, we will be exploring and sight-seeing, as neither have us been there before. I tend to overpack, now the airlines are charging for suitcases,I am trying to pare down on the clothes! I apppreciate your help. :)
