| Martinique | LODGING IN MARTINIQUE Posted: Thu November 6, 2003 11:22 AM UTC
Could anybody reccomend me a place to stay in Martinique, near the beach and not expensive? It can be a hotel or apartment.
Thank you, Sabina |

Prices are quite high in Martinique, but you might find the Hameau de Beauregard within your budget--a little less (i think) than $1000 a week European plan. It's the the town of Ste Anne, in the south of the island on the Route des Salines. It's within walking distance of the very nice Ste. Anne beach, and a short drive to Les Salines--one of the world's best beaches. The units have minimal cooking facilities and there are grocery stores, bakeries, etc. nearby so you can save some money on food. There are. of course many restaurants, too--quite good I thought when I was there some time ago, and the prices seemed reasonable.
The resort has a web site http://www.hameau-beauregard.mq I hope you have a good time. Martinique is my favorite Caribbean isalnd. Jane
