April usually is the last month of the traveling season. I guess you will have all facilities. The weather will be fine since you will still be there in the dry season, but outside the hotels the nature will suffer from lack of water.

Hotel Jerma is a new complex (very nice!) and on the beach. You will not be disapointed. Coming out of the Hotel, turning left, takes you up to the main road. Here turn right, then about a ten minute walk into Senegambia, where you will have acess to the main tourist strip. Plenty of nightlife here (clubs, restaurants etc) depending on your choice. Suggest you walk one way, and then grab a taxi home, if you are going to be out late.

Just going into the 'off' season - but no worries - maybe slightly fewer people around (tourists) But everything will still be open for business.

Enjoy the Gambian culture and people, just keep your wits about you, and do not part with anything, unless you want to!

It is a wonderful place, have a great time!

Senegambia is one of the first hotels having been built in The Gambia. I think they had some renovation not long ago. It has given the Senegambia Strip the name, being located right there. It's also on the beach, but this part of the coast suffers from erosion and sandmining, so once in a while they have to reconstruct it with ground from the sea, containing little stones and broken shells. The beach itself is nicer in Kotu or Sanyang ("Paradise Beach")

Jerma is a beautiful hotel in a good location, and not so far from the beach..
Senegambia Hotel is one of the most famous Hotel in the country, and its monuments is one of the most famous area for chill out, with lots of chinese, indian, lebanese restaurants, etc and also clubs and bars, the place is just busy 24hrs.
You would love the place I am sure.
Cheers,
Dawda.
