Armenian visa on arrival at airport only, or land borders too?

I am planning a 3 week Armenia trip in June. I will be entering with bus from Iran. My question is about visa on arrival. I am a Canadian citizen traveling to Iran on an Iranian passport. I know Canadians get visa on arrival for sure at the Yerevan airport, but what about the land crossing with Iran? Are they able to issue visas on arrival, or at the airport only? If it's the airport only, I will have to apply for a visa at the Armenian embassy in Tehran.
