The Gambia Eating Out Question
Posted: Mon January 12, 2009 08:22 PM UTC
Hello everybody. I am visiting the Gambia with my wife in April.

I am keen to find out how much I can expect to pay for a meal for two.

I am staying at the Kombo Beach Hotel (on the Kotu Beach)

I would be grateful for any tips, recommendations, advice.

Cheers, Ryan

Hi

Most tourists eat at senegambia about 10-15 mns taxi drive away
you can arrange a return taxi while you eat drink for a couple of hours---bargain hard
Cost is about £7 to 10 per person without drinks.
Eating out is expensive by British standards but you can eat cheaper at local bars/restayrants , lot of people do.

There are some bars and restaurants in your area. But Kololi is busier, for people who like it. But I'm sometimes fed up with all the prostitutes there. GTS Restaurant offers a good value for money and is a bit remote to the scene. Badala Beach Bars food is surprisingly delicious (if sttill Abraham is cooking).
