Book your hotel asap, if you want to stay in South Beach. Hotels may begin selling out any time now and rooms are hard to find by early March. South Beach has the most activity but is also the most expensive to stay in (but worth it if you have the $$). You could also stay in downtown Miami for less but may not have direct beach access, if that's a priority. I'd recommend purchasing Ultra tickets ahead of time if you're certain to attend, only because the price raises the closer you get to the event. You can, however, buy tickets the day of (and choose one or both days). I don't believe they have ever sold out. You can take cabs easily around Miami and any hotel can call one for you if you're not in a heavily traveled area. Be aware that if you stay in a higher end hotel in south beach or any of the nicer hotels you may pay $$20-40/day to park & valet your own vehicle or rental (without option of on-site "park yourself"). We have gone to ULTRA the last two years and will be attending again this year. If you love electronic music, there's no better place to be. Hope this helps. Enjoy Miaaaaami! And, check out events at the Shelborne hotel, other South Beach hotels, and Miami clubs. They have all the Ultra headliners and just as many DJs overall as the Ultra Festival.
