Metro Tickets Posted: Tue January 6, 2009 01:14 PM UTC
Hello
Many thanks for the info on getting to the Magic Fountains. I think the metro sounds a good option, but can anyone tell me how to buy tickets for it ? And can you buy a 1 day any route kind of ticket ?
Again, thanks for the earlier help,
Anna and Simon

You can purchase metro tickets in all metro stations. There is available a 1 day ticket for all routes. The price depends of the "crowns" that you expect to cross. Currently, the price for the down town is 5,80 €. More information at http://www.tmb.cat/en_US/home.jsp

Hi,
Instead of getting the T-Dia (unlimited journeys for 1 day - €5.80), I would probably recommend a T-10 (10 journeys (multi-person) on all means of transport (metro, bus, tram)).
The Metro station to go to the Magic Fountain is Espanya (L1, red line).
Hope you enjoy it,
Regards,
Daniel

Buy T-Dia tickets, zonal, covering all types of public transport in Barcelona.
See www.fgc.es for more details (one of the local train operators). The TMB website (Transports Municipals de Barcelona) also useful.

Ops I forgot about T-dia on my reply to your other post!! However, to make a T-dia worth it, every person should do more than 6 trips on a day. Very unlikely!
The T-dia CANNOT be shared, while the T-10 can be used for more than 1 person, and can be used more than 1 day.
