Marseille my father in ww2 anyone seen this place

i have a photo of my father in ww2, i think it is in marseille. i will be going their soon. would like to find this place. anyone seen this. ( i used picture of dad as my picture ) thanks

I am afraid there is very little on this photo that could be recognized after 60 years. The trees will have grown or/and have been trimmed. The low wall is just a plain wall that might have been put down or else. I feel that the one and single part that might be recognized is the small part in the background with a building. Try to scan only this part so that it will be sharper. I have enlarged your photo but it is not sharp enough to view the shape of the building.

May I suggest that you put both photos in an album of your front page.

i have try some old photosof marseille but nothing close, the city has change, renovated recontructed,so it will be difficult unless you find folks from that era, if you are going to be in Marseille, i recommend you get in contact with the city govt
