Hi, I went in March and the visa application/payment counters are in the airport -
I dont know if things were any different because I was escorting a Kuwaiti patient so for the visa part they came and got me and escorted me to the visa counter - it might be the same for everyone but out of courtesy to me and the patient they came and got me while he was being moved onto and from his stretcher etc - and then they showed me where the ambulance was - I didnt have to continue with my patient and could have gone off on my own from the airport so it probably is much the same - from getting off the plane you go to the visa counters - and it didnt cost much - less than £10 or something - it was cheaper if it was in Kuwaiti dinar and there was an ATM just nearby - but I think they accepted £and $USD - they didnt require any details of my bank account or anything.

but the Kuwaiti embassy in London is phoneable up til 4pm each day. so give them a call.

Check out my page on Kuwait for any further help - a week is a long time in Kuwait though - are you going to go on trips to Doha and neighbouring countries?

All the best.
