Córdoba Gonzalez Hotel or Plateros Hotel
Posted: Thu January 1, 2009 03:21 AM UTC
We are traveling next April and have 2 nites to spend in Cordoba. We will not have a car so it's public transportation or walking. Has anyone a preference on these two hotels? Or, another? We are not wanting a 'plush' hotel, rather an experience. Any and all help appreciated!

well couple years ago my preferences also included the Plateros very nice centrally located, but we end up for the Los Omeya, 55-75 euros doubles per night. centrally located near the mosque cathedral in the jewish quarters UNESCO site. The name comes from the caliph dinasty of the Omeyas /The patio is marvelous and from the top floor you have a view of the Mosque.

sounds like a really great deal! was it fairly quiet, decent beds and near some good restaurants? and, does it have the charm and staff warm?

YES as far i can remember it was perfect, will try go there again when in the city, probably next summer. The area is loaded with restaurants. in front of the mosque you have El Caballo Rojo, then near walking distance you hve Almudaina, those were great moments because i was taking my family with me.

plateros is a good choice too. the building is from the 1850s, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is welcoming. situated halfway between plaza corredera and great mosque of córdoba.

found hotel information in english right here:
