Posted: Wed December 31, 2008 05:54 AM UTC
hi,

I will make my trip for a 2D1N at Ha Long Bay around 3rd week of Jan 09, jz myself.
I did surf the net and there are plenty of offers.

Is there any price different between pre-book online and book thru local travel agent?

Any more website for me to reference besides these 2 website

We booked through Tonkin Travel, and it was much cheaper than trying to book with the cruise itself.

We went on the Bhaya. After going budget throughout most of Vietnam, we enjoyed the luxury in what I regard as one of the most beautiful geographic areas in the world.

Enjoyed cruising past all the different karst formations, the floating village, stopping off at caves, climbing to magnificent viewpoints over Halong Bay, and kayaking to deserted islands.

Aboard the Bhaya, I enjoyed happy hour, sitting alone (with my wife) on the upper deck watching the sun go down, attending food preperation work shops, squid fishing at night, beautiful deluxe cabins.

The food was plentiful and good without being sumptuous. Staff was friendly and helpful.

What did I not like? The unbelievably snobbish and dysfunctional Russian and American couple in the cabin next to ours. We eventually asked the captain to move us to another cabin. By this time he was well aware of their incessant fighting and assisted without delay!
