I am arriving at Izmir port for the day Jan 14th what is the best way to get to Balcova for cable car ride?
if I use a taxi will i be able to get one back to the port later any advice appreciated Rob |

Balçova is about 10km to Izmir.I think you can call a taxi back to the port.I hope someone from Izmir can tell you more.

We took that cable car ride in 2007 but we came from the Izmor bus terminus so there was a bus and took almost an hour to reach Balcova. Since you are coming from the port, and sounds like you are pressed with time, so get a cab, it's not that expensive anyways. Check my Izmir page for our cable car ride experience.
