Miami Millionaires Row
Posted: Wed December 17, 2008 06:45 PM UTC
Hi There,

I am planning a visit to Miami.. and would love to see where the "rich and famous" live :) I have heard of the Millionaires Row.. now my question - do i have to take a cruise to see these homes... can i not drive around there..i guess for a better view and perhaps more personal pictures?

Can someone please advise?

Thanks so much!

Alot of the areas are gated so, no entry without permission. Great viewing though

you go to Bayside Marketplace downtown Miami by the port of Miami area, there were boat tours leaving from there that show you the houses from the sea.

each house. the term millonaires row stem from the fact that there are several houses one after the other of very rich folks including madonna, julio iglesias, ricky martin, shakira, etc etc. The boats are fast and medium size, its really a personal tour, not like a cruise ship.

Millionaire's Row is a term used by real estate salespeople, it refers to a Mid-Beach Neighborhood in Miami Beach. And yes you can drive throuhg it; there are still some nice mansions there and in Allison Island. Just drive up and odwn Collins Avenue,Pine Tree drive, or Alton Road, between 22nd and 62nd streets. The houses and condos situated along those roads, used to be the best in Miami Beach. Now what most people do is take a boat out of Bayside in Downtown Miami, specifically geared to show you homes of the rich and famous, or infamous in the case of Al Capone.

Cheers.
